N.J. Chamber President and CEO Tom Bracken's statement on Gov. Christie's announcement that tax savings on the state's Unemployment Insurance Fund will reach $380 million for New Jersey Businesses:
The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce welcomes the news that the state's Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund is back to fiscal health and that New Jersey employers will realize $380 million in tax savings beginning in July, 2016.
This is good news for all New Jersey citizens.
We thank Gov. Chris Christie, Department of Labor and Workforce Development Commissioner Harold J. Wirths, as well as the state Legislature for working together to make it happen.
The N.J. Chamber further welcomes Gov. Christie's pledge to continue steadfastly working to make New Jersey a more affordable place to create jobs and grow businesses. We urge all of our state leaders to keep that goal in mind as they address these remaining fiscal issues.
