New Jersey Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Tom Bracken and 15 members of the N.J. Chamber’s Board of Directors, including Board Chair Linda Bowden, were among the business leaders named on Friday to serve on Gov. Phil Murphy’s Restart and Recovery Advisory Council.

Bracken and the 15 Board members will serve on six of the nine Advisory Council subcommittees with four serving on Transportation/Infrastructure, three on Main Street, two each on Health Care, Manufacturing/Supply Chain, Tourism/Entertainment and Professional Services, and one more on Facilities/Construction.

The governor announced the Restart and Recovery Advisory Council on Friday, saying it will bring together leaders from various industry, community, and faith-based groups and institutions across New Jersey to advise state leadership on economic issues impacted by the pandemic.

“It is a testament to the breadth and depth of the Chamber’s Board of Directors that so many of our members are serving on the subcommittees of the Advisory Council,” Bracken said. “We look forward to addressing together the tough issues our business community faces and I believe our board members will bring valuable insight and creative solutions to these discussions.”
