Donna Custard has been named president of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce Foundation, replacing Dana Egreczky who retired from that position on June 30.

Custard's promotion follows 18 years of working for the Foundation, serving most recently as executive director and vice president. Custard also is a member of the Burlington Township Board of Education.

"Donna's experience and familiarity with the Foundation's programs and its internal operations will ensure a smooth transition in leadership," said Thomas A. Bracken, president and CEO of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce.

The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining and improving New Jersey's highly skilled workforce. The Foundation provides workforce readiness programs for students in middle school through high school, and will soon expand to include training programs for students in higher education, Custard said.

"With New Jersey's need to compete with other states and other nations, there has never been a more important time for our state to have a highly trained workforce, and for our students to graduate with the skills needed to succeed in college and in the job market," Custard said.

"Finding strong employees is critical for all employers in the Garden State," Custard added. "And preparation is critical for all job candidates in a global economy in which most jobs require special training or college diplomas."

We welcome Donna to her new role and we thank  Dana for her two decades of building the Foundation and making it one of New Jersey's most prominent and effective non-profits," Bracken said. "We look forward to using Dana as a consultant on special projects."
